You have until Friday, May 29, 2026 to change your political party to "Democratic" to vote for Luann
Change your party affiliation. Change it today. You can change it back in September.
I'm going to level with you: in the November election, the Democrat on the ballot is going to win. Sorry, that's just how Newark is.
That means that you need to be a registered Democrat to vote in the primary election in September to determine which Democrat is on the ballot in November.
That means that if you're an independent or Mandalorian or whatever a Blue Enigma is, then you're throwing away your shot to get Luann elected. Mandalorians don't run candidates in Delaware, so being a registered one doesn't do anything. You need to pick a party that runs primaries and register as that. This is the way.
What if you're a lifelong Republican? Same thing applies! Delaware is generally electing Democrats, so you might as well register as one so you get to help pick the Democrat that wins. Otherwise, you're stuck with whoever the other registered Democrats pick.
The only thing that registering as a particular political party gets you is the opportunity to vote in that party's primary elections. If you're not registered as either a Democrat or a Republican, then you're missing out on half the elections in your life. And, just for this one election, please register as a Democrat so you can vote for Luann.

Go to Delaware's online voter registration system https://ivote.de.gov/VoterView and provide your first name, last name, drivers license number, and date of birth; then, click on "Look Up".

If you're not registered to vote yet, then take care of that now! And remember, select "DEMOCRATIC" as the Politcal Party.

If you're already registered, that's great. The important thing to do is change your Politcal Party to "DEMOCRATIC" so that you can vote in the primary election in September.
Click on "Edit Your Registration" and follow the steps.
It'll take you to a 9-step process to update your info. It'll take about 2 minutes (maybe 5 if you double-check everything).
Basically, you're just going to make sure that your name, birthday, license number, etc., are all correct.
Then, the last important screen is Political Party, where you can select your party affiliation.
In order to vote for Luann in September, you must select "DEMOCRATIC".
I don't make the rules, and Luann will fight for a no-primary system where we just have a single, ranked-choice election, but until that day, you have to play by the rules that are in place.
When you're all done, confirm everything, and that's it.
You have until May 29, 2026, to get this done. Otherwise it doesn't count and you can't vote for Luann.
